The Entrepreneurial Group: Social Identities, Relations, and Collective Action (Kauffman Foundation Series on Innovation and Entrepreneurship) ReviewReal insight into the importance of business groups, and the various ways close relationships are formed between entrepreneurs who run legally separate enterprises.

Not a light read, but a book I'll be digesting and discussing with the business groups that are important to me. It's a must read for advisors to entrepreneurs. I agree with Arthur Stinchcombe's accessment on the dust cover: "The Entrepreneurial Group is a drop of sanity in an ocean of fraud about entrepreneurship, espcially in teahcing positions financed by corporations."
Maybe the book will trigger the shut down or radical reform of the SBA (and expecially of it's misguided SCORE program, which would be more accurately named SQUASH) as it has systematically worked to kill the true entrepreneurial spirit in America since it was formed in 1954.
